Onboarding and Offborading Process

The following process should be followed when membership of the CASA development group changes. 

This page serves as a guide to new members of the CASA team, and as a reminder to the management staff of accounts to be created for new group members.

Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, and Bamboo)

Onboarding

Allow read/write access to the CASA JIRA project and CASA Confluence space.

  1. Developer: Non-NRAO staff should navigate to the JIRA home page and create an account.  (NRAO staff accounts will automatically be generated by CIS.)
  2. Developer: Send an email to the CASA project manager requesting write access to the CASA JIRA project. (Non-NRAO staff should include their manually-created JIRA account name; NRAO staff should include their NRAO account name.)
  3. Project Manger: Add staff member to the CASA-Developers and confluence-users groups.

Offboarding

Restrict read/write access to the CASA JIRA project and CASA Confluence space.

  1. Project Manager: The CASA project manager will remove the staff member from the CASA-Developers and confluence-users groups.

CASA Docs Plone System

Onboarding

Allow write access to the CASA Docs Plone system.

1. Project Manager: Create new account for CDG team member; add account to the Content Creators group.

Offboarding

1. Project Manager: Remove account from the content creators group.

 

Other staff: Email the responsible manager to request account creation.  New accounts should be included in the Content Creators group.  Old accounts should be removed.

NRAO staff: Accounts will be created (removed) automatically by CIS. 

Accounts should be added to the Content Creators group.
