msmetadata.nstates - Function

1.3.2 Get the number of states (from the STATE table) associated with the MS.

Description

This method will return the number of states (number of rows in the STATES table) in the associated MS.

Arguments

Returns
int

Example

    msmd.open("my.ms")
    number_of_states = msmd.nstates()
    msmd.done()
