6.13.3 Pixel-by-pixel fits
As mentioned above, specfit can also fit spectral cubes on a pixel by pixel basis. In this case, one can choose to write none, any or all of the solution and error images for Gaussian/Lorentzian fits via the parameters amp, amperr, center, centererr, fwhm, and fwhmerr. The specified parameter value will by appended by ”_n” where n is the Gaussian/Lorentzian component number. Writing analogous images for polynomial coefficients is not yet supported although polynomial fits when multifit=True is supported. Best fit coefficients are written to the logger. Pixels for which fits were not attempted or did not converge will be masked as bad.
