point-like1.2
- Usually, the instrumental polarization calibrator
is one of the phase calibrators used for cross-calibration of G,
which are ideally point sources for that purpose.

interval1.3
- The P calibration only rotates the parallactic angle
dependence out of Measurement Equation terms containing the nominal
interferometer response; the corrupting terms (in particular, those
containing D) still have a parallactic angle dependence. It is this
dependence which makes the D calibration separable and thus solvable.
