mirfillertest is a function to test mirfiller. By default, it uses datasets in the AIPS++ data repository, although the user can can specify other datasets to use for the test. The basic strategy of the tests is to fill a Miriad dataset into MS2 format and then to test the MS against a fiducial MS that has been filled by mirfiller in the past. Tests include comparing column names, column keywords, and column data for the main MS table as well as all the associated subtables (except the HISTORY subtable). The function returns T if all tests pass, F otherwise. The tests (including filling) take 15 seconds on an unloaded Linux system with a 1.5 GHz Pentium 4 processor. The function will create a scratch directory in the current directory called mirfillertester.work where it will fill the Miriad dataset. For the default dataset, this will require about 5.5 MB of disk space.
