Return the number of points in the current profile


Synopsis
npoints()


Returns
Integer



Description
This function returns the number of points in the current profile. Will be zero if none yet made. It is function makeabcissa that really determines the number of points (the ordinate must conform).



Example
- im := image('ngc1313.cube')             
- csys := im.coordsys()                   
- shp := im.shape()                       
- p := imageprofilesupport(csys=csys, shp=shp, widgetset=dws)
- p.setprofileaxis(axis);
- p.makemenus()
-
- pos := csys.referencepixel()            
- p.makeabcissa(pos)                      
- p.npoints()
