os.basename - Function

get file part in path names

Synopsis
basename(pathname)

Description
After the path names are expanded to their full names (see above), it returns the file part of each full name.

Example

  dos.basename ('~mhaller')
mhaller

Arguments

pathname	in	path name
		Allowed:	vector of strings
		Default:	'.'

Returns
vector of strings
