return the value of a string variable


Synopsis
substitutestring(var)



Description
Return the value of a string variable. The string is enclosed in "". When the string contains a ", it is enclosed in single quotes. If the variable is a vector, the strings are enclosed in [] and separated by commas.



Arguments

var in variable



Returns
string with value of Glish variable
