The Glish interpreter is written in C++ and consists of about 33,000 lines. It presently runs on SunOS, Solaris, AIX, Irix, OSF/1, Linux, HP/UX, and Ultrix. This chapter discusses those internals of the Glish system relevant to understanding the system's strengths and weaknesses, and for assessing the difficulty of porting the system to another platform.
