Current Status

• Early 2002: Initial Glish-based document created by George Moellenbrock.

• June 2002: Modified by Debra Shepherd (DSS) for the VLA summer school to include more discussion and some GUI/AIPS+ + startup introduction.

• June 2002: Reviewed and modified by George Moellenbrock. Included in the August release of AIPS+ +

• Sept 2002: DSS added GUI instruction up to page 41. GUI instructions are first, Glish instructions come second. Sent document out for review to the NAUG and to Chris Depree (Users committee member).

• Nov 2002: DSS Received comments from Chris Depree and NAUG on restructuring Introduction. GUI approach approved. DSS restructured whole document, it is now a stand-alone document with chapter headings. Organizational changes approved by Joe Mcmullin. Added GUI instruction through chapter 3, imaging.

• Dec 2002: DSS added GUI instruction for Chapter 4: Analyzing Images. Need to do final check of whole thing before it can be installed on the web.

• Jul 2003: DSS deleted most GUI instruction for most of the document in preparation for new AIPS++ framework based on ACS with python command language and JAVA GUIs.
