Description

bimams provides an interface to BIMA-specific measurement sets. It provides several convenience functions for accessing information in measurement set subtables. bimams is a vertically integrated tool built on top of ms (another way of looking at it is that a bimams tool contains an ms tool). Thus, the usefulness of bimams is that it supplies a simple interface for observers to access and manipulate measurement set information that may be utilized more by BIMA than other telescopes.
